The Gray Gryphon is a leather mask that can be displayed as a unique art piece or used in a fantasy costume for Halloween, a themed wedding, masquerade, costume party or larp (live action role play). The gryphon (also spelled griffon or griffin) is a mythical creature with the head, wings, and forelegs of an eagle and the hindquarters and ears of a lion or other wildcat.

The Gray Gryphon mask is meticulously hand-carved and sculpted from a single piece of leather, using a technique similar to boiled leather ("cuir bouilli", used for historical armor). However, it is more flexible and lightweight, designed to fit the average face. It has been painted and sealed to protect it from moisture. The main color is a very pale blue-grey, and the feather accents as well as the areas rimming the eyes and beak are a dark blue-grey. The beak is black and the inner ears a gradated pink. The ties are white organza ribbon.

U.S. buyers: If you purchase more than one leather item, I ship the additional items at no additional cost. Items will be sent via Priority Mail. The shipping estimate for the U.S. reflects the furthest shipping zones (east coast, Hawaii, and Alaska). Buyers on the west coast (near me) might expect to pay a few dollars less in some areas. I will refund the difference if the shipping cost is more than US $2.00 less than the estimate. (This shipping difference refund can only be issued if you have a verified account with Paypal. If you don't have an account with Paypal, please send me your zip code for an accurate shipping cost before purchase.)

International buyers: Item will be sent via First Class International. Priority Mail International is an option; contact me before purchase for a price quote.
