As I sat and read poems about the great Goddess's and Queens I knew I had to play with lapis and do honor to the great women of the past... this is my gift to those myths.

Gold toned Parawire, Lapis

Just as in ancient times, lapis is still prized in the present day for its purported qualities of enlightenment and spiritual healing. It is often employed by those wishing to achieve enhanced meditative states, sharpen the mind's psychic capacities and bring about spiritual purification.

For those who believe in the "chakra" view of creation as a consistently turning wheel or flower, lapis is said to stimulate the chakras of the brow and the throat to summon higher guidance and refine intuition. It is thus considered by many to be a "gateway" stone which can lead to deep and lasting insights into the spirit world.

Viking Knit pieces tend to be designed with Renaissance Faire's or with the Goth scene in mind. However we have updated the look on this piece, creating it to be elegant enough to pair with that outfit you have been dyeing to wear out for an evening with your honey. Yet, still casual enough to wear with jeans when you're feeling the need for a bit of sparkle, during a weekend of causal fun and relaxation.

Due to the non-tarnish coating on the wire, this piece will withstand some moisture. However, due to the open ends on each link we do not recommend submerging this piece in water and advise drying the piece as soon as possible. Although this is not necessary it may increase the long life of your piece.
