Pear shaped dichroic lampwork pendant necklace with a goddess inlay, hangs from a handmade chain of gold links connecting lapis lazuli semi precious gemstones together. The lapis lazuli is round disk shaped pieces. A hammered hand forged clasp completes the necklace.

Not for the shy or faint of heart as this necklace will draw attention. From the glittery shine of the gold specks in the lapis lazuli to the sparks of light from the pendant itself, you will draw attention.

Care of Item:
While lampwork is kiln annealed for durability, it must be remembered that it is still glass and should be handled with care.

A soft damp cloth for a quick clean is usually more than enough to keep the piece in top condition.

It is not recommended that you submerge the piece due to the open ends on the wire.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
Sometimes what you have in mind for a piece isn't how it turns out. That is what happened with this necklace.

I had in my mind to pair the goddess pendant with red tiger's eye. Two things happened, it just wouldn't go together and then I realized why. The shades of red in the two different types of material didn't match tones. It happens that way sometimes.

In this case I am very pleased it happened as the necklace became something more when I added the Lapis Lazuli semi precious gemstones to it. Sparkle, absolutely, yet it is more than that. It is a gorgeous piece of lampwork on its own, but it came to life as I started shaping the wire and adding the lapis lazuli to it.
