This listing is for Apple motif blanket square PDF Pattern not the actual knitted square.

This simple square is an ideal project for a beginner as it is very quick & easy to knit and then duplicate stitch embroider (UK Swiss Darn) with the motif.

The instructions are given for a 6x6inch(15x15cms) square in Aran (worsted weight), 5x5inch(12.5x12.5cms) square in DK (sport weight) & 4x4inch(10x10cms) square in 4Ply (fingering weight).

Materials Needed for the knitted square are:-

Aran square 6 x 6inches (15 x 15cms)
20g of Aran (worsted) weight cotton or similar yarn for main square colour
5g (approx) oddment Aran (worsted) weight cotton or similar yarn for contrast letter colour.
1 Pair of 4mm knitting needles

Double knitting square 5 x 5inches (12.5 x 12.5cms)
12g of DK (sport) weight cotton or similar yarn for main square colour
5g (approx) oddment DK (sport) weight cotton or similar yarn for contrast letter colour.
1 Pair of 3.5mm knitting needles

4Ply square 4 x 4inches (10 x 10cms)
8g of 4Ply (fingering) weight cotton or similar yarn for main square colour
5g (approx) oddment 4Ply(fingering) weight cotton or similar yarn for contrast letter colour.
1 Pair of 3mm knitting needles

1 x Bodkin or blunt ended darning needle, 1 x Pair scissors, 1 x Row counter (optional)
