Japanese Purple Geisha Cherry Blossom Black Pillow Cover

I created this wonderful Geisha in purple, lavenders and pink threads. She holds a black and lavender fan in front of her face. She stands under two light pink cherry blossom branches with over-sized flowers.

I created this pillow on black stretch medium weight cotton fabric. Pillow cover measures 16 inches by 16 inches with a zipper closure.

I based this design inspiration off of the movie Memoirs of a Geisha. This movie had wonderful kimonos throughout the film. My favorite is the dance scene. I hand drew the geisha based off of old photo's I found in a library book of real geisha's from the 40's. The cherry blossoms I had already drawn out from the trees in my neighbor's yard. It is one of my favorite times of the year when the cherry blossoms drop from the trees and covers the ground in these beautiful shades of pink.
