Lovely example of high Victorian fashion this piece is loaded with details. May have been a wedding top. Remember they got married in black. The front bodice is filled with lovely black lace with beige fabric under to accent how pretty it is.This jacket has allot of wonderful details, not e the gathered sleeve and embroidered flowers sleeve close with hook and eye.

made from taffeta it snaps up the front and has metal hook and eyes underneath that!
I purchased this item from a ladies fashion museum in 2006 .They knew I was to open a vintage clothing store and called me graciously. a very rare and unusual findz.
