This archetypal canine was created using a variety of techniques and two lovely gems.

The top line was carved in wax and then cast. The bottom line was forged (hammered) out of a length of Sterling Silver bar, giving it a different character of sinuous curve and taper.

The Sponge Coral is set in a hand made basket made from Sterling Silver wire, and the Pyrope Garnet is set in a small hand fabricated tube. The back has a sturdy steel pin, with nickel silver hinge and catch.

1 1/2 inch high, 2 1/2 inches wide.
