Yes, it is a skirt...

AND a hat! :D

This project is created using a series of short rows for the ruffle, and is easily converted to different sizes for both the hat and the skirt.

There is also described a Picot BO method, which is used for the adorable trim at the top of the skirt/hat.

The pattern sample uses the red round loom by Knifty Knitter, which creates an ensemble for a 4-12 month old (depending on size of the baby) but any loom of similar gauge can be used. Also, this project can be easily made on other looms in the series to create different sizes, as is also explained in the instructions.
