Poisonwood, also known as Chechen hails from Mexico and Central America. The sap of this tree is highly poisonous to humans, often causing blisters or harsh rashes if it touches the skin, hence the name of the tree.



This wood draws heavily off of earth energies and is excellent for defensive and protective magic. It would also be a very good tool for working with hexes and curses, either casting or removing, and prefers a willful practitioner.



Every wood is individually researched for its metaphysical and conventional properties and lore which is included complimentary with each purchase. All wands include a Certificate of Authenticity, wand-bag for safe storage.

All wooden Wands are collaboratively designed and handmade by Johann & Son Wandmakers in conjunction with the Gilded Quill. Our wands are crafted with their unaltered, natural colours & properties.

Since these are hand-turned, each one is unique so grain color and wand style may vary from the picture. If you have a specification, please let me know when you place your order. Wands can take up to 5-7 business days to complete.
