Genuine amethyst gemstones have been used to create a deep and rich touch to this handmade necklace with a Pagan theme inspired by Starhawk's book "The Spiral Dance: a Rebirth of the Ancient Religion of the Great Goddess".

This meditation bead necklace is designed in the style of a traditional rosary but with the symbolism and meaning meant for use in meditation on the Pagan path.

The two sections of eight amethyst stone beads in this necklace represent the eight Sabbat holidays in the wheel of the year, where as the sections of thirteen amethysts represent the thirteen Esbats (full moons) of the year. Interspersed between each of these sections is a silver tone spiral charm bead that, all together, represent the four seasons of the year.

Beneath a pentacle center on this handmade necklace dangles three more beads, these representing the symbolism of the maiden, mother and crone with a pewter 1.6-inch (40 mm) Spiral Dance Goddess charm dangling at the very end.

This entire configuration is a celebration of life and the personal choice to follow the Pagan path with faith, diligence and, above all, love and respect. The Goddess necklace has been created with mindfulness, meditation and care paid to the spirit of the piece and its balance.

The necklace is made to be not just cherished or used as a meditational guide but also to be worn if you choose, created at 19.25-inches (49 cm) from nape to pendant's tip so that it can be easily slipped over the head to be worn around the neck or, alternately, wrapped repeatedly around the wrist.
