Product Description
Use seed beads to make your own version of this handbeaded Beckeye necklace. We're crazy for the Buckeyes here in Ohio! You will learn two separate techniques in this tutorial. 1. The first will show you how to do Russian Leaf stitch (diagonal peyote stitch) and then stitch them together to make a Buckeye leaf. As a side note, this leaf would probably look awesome as a maple leaf EUR" colored in beautiful fall colors and added in multiples along a necklaceEUR 2. The second technique will show you how to fit peyote stitch around a form. Since every form requires a little bit of EURoefinagling,EUR this is different each time you do it. The important part about peyote stitching around a form is that you canEUR(TM)t do it too tight, otherwise either the thread will break or the tension of the form against the beads will break the beads. This particularly happens with acid etched (matte) beads EUR" they are delicate to being with. This class is level 3.5 out of 5. That puts it at an Advanced Intermediate class. Students SHOULD BE ALREADY FAMILAR WITH FLAT EVEN COUNT PEYOTE STITCH before they begin this project. INstructions include both the bracelet and the toggle clasp. This is for the tutorial/instruction packet only. Materials are not included. This tutorial is sent via email (PDF) upon receipt of payment. Go Bucks!
