Product Description
The Summer of Love Pendant is a design I worked up for the Taos New Mexico town's celebration of the 40th anniversary of Dennis Hopper's "Easy Rider." Hopper lived in Taos, and the town geared up for a summer-long festival spanning many of the museums and galleries. Taos has a long history of being a mecca for artists and hippies. Made of a rifle casing I found while hiking near the Rio Grande Gorge, seed beads, and a lampworked spacer bead (stuffed into the bottom of the casing, difficult to see in the photo, but its PINK!) The idea? Make Love, not War, of course. This BEGINNING tutorial shows you how to create even count tubular peyote stitch. There are no beads included with this pattern/tutorial I am a Self Representing Artist which means I make all my own work. This piece is a one of a kind (OOAK), but willb e part of a series. Pictures were taken in a table top photo studio. Colors may slightly vary on different monitors.
