This is a beautiful handmade electric cigarbox style Diddley Bow. The sound box is handmade natural pine and measures 9 3/4" long, 6" wide and 3" tall. The neck is handmade from natural redwood and measures 22 1/2" long. The resonator saddle and nut are natural red cedar. It has a piezo pickup and 1/4" instrument output jack installed. This instrument is strung in the traditional manner with broom wire.

The pine soundbox is stained mahogony and neck is natural redwood. The entire instrument is sealed with a polyurethane finish.

My design of this instrument was inspired by the traditional diddley bow with the broom wire, glass jar bridge and tin can resonator. I designed the wooden resonator saddle to replace the glass jar resulting in a much safer instrument for kids of all ages.

This Diddley Bow is similar to my cigarbox diddley bows except that the sound box is handmade from scratch rather than using a commercial cigarbox. This is a unique Electric Wooden Box Diddley Bow with beautiful appearance and sound. It has a fantastic sound both amplified and acoustic covering a full octave. This instrument is shipped with a handmade oak striker stick. The slide bottle does not come with this instrument. Slide bottles are readily available at any drug store or health food store. Commercial metal and glass slides are available at most any music shop. I personally like a small olive oil bottle I purchased at my local health food store.I am very pleased with 100% customer satisfaction worldwide of all my handmade traditional folk instruments.
