The Aussie Kazoo is a beautiful 6 1/4" dreadnought kazoo with a beautiful grain pattern, wood tone and voice. The body of this kazoo is Australian Pine and resonator cap is Cherry. This is a powerful kazoo with a voice capable of performing with other acoustic instruments and vocals. This is a great kazoo for those backyard jam sessions or Saturday nite gig at the local pub.

This kazoor has a great sound through a full high to low range, This kazoo is finished with an FDA Approved Butcher Block Sealer as safe for wood contacting food for human consumption.

Thirteen months ago on a freezing winter day I harvested some beautiful old Australian Pine from land of a local farmer. These trees had been planted as field wind breaks back in the 1950 and had not been trimmed in decades.

I cut and stacked the wood for drying in 12-24" lengths on shelves in the workshop. I dried a vew smaller kazoo size lengths in the workshop electric dryer that I have used for a few kazoos over the past year. Now all of the Australian Pine is dried and ready to make kazoos.

I just started milling the dried wood into kazoo blanks and will be introducing more Australian Pine kazoos.

I specialize in Special Order Handmade Wooden Folk Kazoos that will be custom made for each customer and may require up to one week for shipping. I always ship on time, never ship late and almost always ship early.

Stock photographs are used for Special Order Kazoo Listings and are used as my reference for making the kazoo. Being handmade each of my kazoos are unique and there will be some difference in wood color and grain pattern. I do not make "cookie cutter" kazoos. Each Aswego Kazoo is a one of a kind primitive style folk instrument. No two kazoos are ever exactly identical. This is what makes them an original Aswego Kazoo.

As with each Special Order Kazoo you are invited to visit the workshop via video to watch your actual kazoo being custom made. This usually consist of 2-3 videos posted on my YouTube Channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/greataswegokazoo

There is no charge for these videos. They are freely made with in hope of sharing the beautiful experience of watching the kazoo emerge from a humble piece of wood. My goal is to always be more than a website with a shopping cart. Thanks to video I have been able consistently achieve this goal.
