This ornament was handmade by me from unwrapping the package of Premo (my preferred brand of polymer clay), through the process of building the canes and finally to slicing, layering, baking and finishing the final product.

(NOTE: Other state ornaments can be ordered but are not included in this sale price.) This Mississippi Ornament was made using the Japanese technique mokume gane which is created by stacking multiple thin layers of gold, silver, copper and white pearl polymer clay, then impressing designs deep into the layers. The final step is to thinly slice revealing the various layers to create this one-of-a-kind ornament. The ornament edges were lined with gold leaf pin, then a ribbon and bead were added for hanging.
