This ornament is made using a rather interesting tool. The dome is created on an old glass Christmas ball! How's that for recycling????

The base ornament uses a blend made from the end pieces of the leaf cane that is used in this design plus just a touch of gold metallic clay for fun. A small flower stamp is used to add texture then leaves are randomly placed around the face of the dome ornament in sets of three. Thin slices of a holly berry cane are added to each set of leaves. A beaded wire hanger adds the finishing touch.

Each ornament is signed and dated. A clear sealant is added for protection. Because these ornaments are handmade, the size may vary slightly but the average is approximately 3 inches across by 1 1/2 inches deep. Because of the unique properties of polymer clay, the ornament is lightweight.
