This ornament is made using a rather interesting tool. The dome is created on an old glass Christmas ball! How's that for recycling????

The base ornament is made using a custom mix of marbled white and just a touch of green. A strip of white pearl is marbled with end pieces of the flower cane that I'm using for a perfect match to create a faux ribbon across the middle of the ornament. Deep amber flowers and green leaves add a punch of color. An interesting beaded trim is added on either side of the faux ribbon for emphasis and a scalloped edge is added. A swirl stamp is used to add texture then a beaded wire hanger adds the finishing touch.

Each ornament is signed and dated. A clear sealant is added for protection. Because these ornaments are handmade, the size may vary slightly but the average is approximately 3 inches across by 1 1/2 inches deep. Because of the unique properties of polymer clay, the ornament is lightweight.
