This ornament is made using a rather interesting tool. The dome is created on an old glass Christmas ball! How's that for recycling????

The base ornament is made using pearl clay. A strip of marbled purple and white is used to create a faux ribbon finished with a scalloped edge. Large purple flowers, small white flowers and green leaves add a punch of color. A string of tiny purple irrescent sead beads border each side of the faux ribbon strip. A swirl stamp is used to add texture then a beaded wire hanger adds the finishing touch.

Each ornament is signed and dated. A clear sealant is added for protection. Because these ornaments are handmade, the size may vary slightly but the average is approximately 3 inches across by 1 1/2 inches deep. Because of the unique properties of polymer clay, the ornament is lightweight.
