This ornament is made using a rather interesting tool. The dome is created on a burned out lightbulb! How's that for recycling???? The base ornament is made using a custom mix of metallic clays including gold, silver, copper and pearl marbled and textured. The upper portion is made with thin slices of a retro extruder cane made with the same colors. Rich copper swirls complete the design.

After the clay is cured and removed from the lightbulb, a hanger and backing sheet is added. Each ornament is signed and dated. A clear sealant is added for protection.

Because these ornaments are handmade, the size may vary slightly but the average is approximately 3 inches deep by 1 1/2 inches deep. Because of the unique properties of polymer clay, the ornament is lightweight.
