Each tile in this inspirational piece is handmade and impressed with deeply etched stamps. The stamp for the focal tile was created by hand using a two-step process of sculpting the ribbon, curing, then creating a mold from that ribbon. After curing, a combination of antiquing medium, mica powders, acrylic paints and metallic wax is used to enhance and highlight the designs. Gold, silver or copper leaf is used on some tiles. The individual tiles are then arranged in a pleasing manner and glued to a backing board. This piece is designed with a self easel and measures 3 and 1/2 inches square by 3/4 inches thick..

This piece is for all those women - and men - who are either fighting or who have overcome breast cancer. This mini-mosaic has the word "Believe" added but you can place a custom order with whatever inspirational word you choose. Another way to personalize this mini-mosaic is to add an initial as I've done in the piece marked "sample". The dragonfly mini-mosaic was made for my sister - who loves dragonflies - and has her initial in the lower right corner.


This listing is for one handmade mosaic tile plaque. The colors used in this piece are primarily shades of pink, turquoise and yellow green with copper/gold accents but custom orders in a different color pallet are available upon request.

One of my coworkers' sister has recently finished chemo treatment for breast cancer and she asked me if I could do one of the mini-mosaics with the breast cancer ribbon and the word Peace. As a cancer survivor myself, I took on the challenge and learned a few new skills in designing the focal tile for this piece.
