Tie Dye Tote Bag With Drawstring Made From Recycled Flour Bag TDC098

Product Description

This practical tie dyed tote bag with handles and a drawstring was made from an Australian recycled Lauke bread flour bag. The product information is still visible one side of the bag. It has been dyed using fuscia and a very pale mauve. The Bag is 54cm high and 33cm wide. Order Code TDC098.

Hand dyed with the the new colourfast full strength Dylon Cold Water Hand Dyes, the bag has been damp cured for over 24 hours, hand rinsed, put through 2 machine washes (1 warm, 1 cold) and finally, hot steam ironed.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

In South Australia many types of plastic bags have been banned and there is strong emphasis on recycling and carrying your own re-usable shopping bags. It was with these new laws in mind that I decided to re-use Lauke bread mix flour bags and turn them into something useful.
