8 x 10 Commissioned Pet Portait in Graphite. Thousands of pencil strokes are used to portray the melting eyes and soft fur of this mixed breed dog. She lays relaxed and still alert, peeking from atop the blankets. The client sent me several photos, with a favorite in mind, as references for this portrait.

If you are considering having a portrait made of your favorite pet, please email me at least a few clear, well-lit, detailed photos. Once we have agreed on a suitable reference photo, and you have paid a 50% deposit, I will send you a preliminary sketch for your approval. This is the point at which you may make any suggestions. Once I have completed the work, and the remaining balance is paid, I will ship your portrait sealed in a protective wrapping with foam core backing, ready to mat and frame.

Pets are beloved members of my own family, and just seeing their images makes me smile. I love to draw the faces of pets that I know are well-loved, and capture that sparkle in their eyes. Each portrait is different, just as each personality is unique. I strive to capture each animals likeness in a lifelike, artistic way.
