"Sekhmet: Lioness of Udjat" by Queen Mother Imakhu. I have personally used this tribute piece in daily ritual. It also represents my rendition of myself as Sekhmet. This piece is incorporated into the official logos for AKERU Nu Afrakan Ministries. Abstract in acrylics, wearable shimmer acrylic and laquer paints. Part of my 'I Heart My Cultural Art" series. My handprints in red paint to simulate Sekhmet's blood. Sekhmet's locks are of fire and lightning. Sun rays radiates from her head. Her heart is black (for the people), dappled with greens and gold to show her other side, Het Hru. The black ankh drips blood to symbolize Sekhmet's power to give and take life. Random tiny red paint drops throughout canvas simulate blood drops. In Rasta Nyabinghi colors, reminder of warrior Queen Nyabhighi, known as the reincarnation of Sekhmet - hence the play on "Lion of Judah." The term "udjat" means "power of the all-seeing eye," which Sekhmet is known for. Therma flec canvas 24.75 " L x 15.5 " W. Comes with clips for wall hanging.
