This beautiful Alpaca vest is knit in two pieces for the bottom and then knit in the round to the underarm. We have added buttons to the side splits which creates two options for wearing the vest.

Yarn Requirements

Eastport Alpaca Yarn - 70% Alpaca (American grown)/ 30% Merino
75 gram skeins (150 yards / 136 meters)
Light/DK Weight

Needles and Materials

3.5 mm circular needle (40 and 60 cm)
4.0 mm circular needle (60 cm)
5.5 mm circular needle (40 and 60 or 80 cm)
3.5 mm crochet hook
8 3/4 inch buttons

Gauge

16 sts & 26 rows = 4 inches in pattern for bottom of vest on 4.0 mm needle.
18 sts & 20 rows = 4 inches in pattern for top of vest on 5.5 mm needle.
