Pattern - Felted Star Beret
Designer: Trudy Van Stralen
Worked in the Fair Isle technique, the star in the center of this felted beret adds a touch of drama to your wardrobe. The beret works up quickly and felts beautifully. The ribbed band is added after the felting process.
Yarn Requirements
Riverstone 100% Wool
100 gram skein / 193 yds (176 meters)
Light / Light Worsted Wt. (Light #3)
Needles and Materials
3.5 mm circular needle (40 cm)
6.5 mm circular needle (40 cm)
6.5 mm double-pointed needles (set of 4)
10 stitch markers
cotton string
Gauge
Unfelted: 12 sts & 16 rnds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needle.
Felted: 16 sts & 22 rnds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needle.
Skeins Needed: Colors A, B, C & D - 1 each
