Sure to become a favorite, this "balloon" styled skirt is knit out of MerLin yarn. The underskirt is 'form fitted' which is hidden by the strips of the overskirt.

The overskirt can be knit in either MerLin or Euroflax sport weight yarn. Both layers are joined together in a checkerboard hem.

Yarn Requirements

MerLin 60% Wet Spun Linen / 40% Merino Wool
100 gram skein / 250 yds
Fine / Sport Wt. (Fine #2)

Needles and Materials

3.0 mm circular needle (80 cm)
3.25 mm circular needle (60 & 80 cm)
3.5 mm circular needle (30 & 80 cm)
Crochet hook
1/2 in wide elastic for waistband

Gauge

24 sts & 32 rows = 4 inches on 3.25 mm needle in stockinette stitch with MerLin yarn.
20 sts & 28 rows = 4 inches on 3.5 mm needle in Overskirt pattern with MerLin or Euroflax yarn.
