This turquoise stone is about as blue as you will find. It is from one of the oldest turquoise mines in China and I bought it from a small co-op of stone cutter's that goes to the mine. It is stableized to retain it's luster and color. Any line you see in the picture is just a reflection. An excellent piece. It 18x13mm (25mm=1").

Bezel set on a thick, 16ga sheet. With the wire rope it is about 1"x 3/4". And it weigh's in at about 1/2oz. Notice the outside "rope" is soldered to the outer edge of plate...not on top of the plate. You don't see this often and gives it a great look. It is the only one like it in my studio.

The band was cut from a thick, 16ga sheet. You could not bend it if you tried. I spend a lot of time getting the back to look as good as the front.

I had been thinking about doing this for quite some time. The different level's of "rope". I don't think you will find one like it anywhere. And that stone...never had one as blue.
