This mammoth tusk ivory is 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. Cut by me in my shop from a larger chunk and this is the best of that piece. 99.9% white with a couple of honey colored freckles near the center. Very nice. Russian...from Siberia and most likely found by deer hunters during the short thaw season. Russia is the main supplier of this legal form of Ivory. I bought the rough at the Tucson Gem & Mineral show last year...from a Russian co-op.

A scolleped bezel set on a thick, 18ga. sterling sheet with a twisted wire-rope trim at the bezel. The same rope around both sides of the band. The band is cut from a 16ga. sheet. Very thick and heavy and it is 3/8" wide and you could not bend it if you tried. Ridges of the rope are filed smooth on the inside....for your comfort.

The size is....8.5. I can size this up or down to fit (no charge). Or cut you a cab and do a custom piece just for you.
Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
This material is fun to work with and it is seldom seen in this type of jewelery. I do a lot of custom work with Ivory and you can see some of them by clicking the GALLERY button at the top of this page.

The large tusk in the one photo is 160" long.
