This Japanese Maple (Acer Palmatum) sits in my backyard, and inspires me year-round as it varies in color. Here, in a fall moment, the branches are hung heavy with samaras (aka "helicopters") that will fly away in the first good breeze to sprout more beautiful trees elsewhere.
