This piece started as a straight fashion shoot -- the model (Anna) and I were inspired by mutual love of designer Alexander McQueen to do a shoot where all the "clothing" was improvised on the spot from colored saran wrap, lengths of chiffon, and aluminum foil. Several years later, a visit to the Seattle Aquarium reminded me of the shoot and I decided to make an undersea fantasy worthy of a magazine cover. The sea anemone hat is probably my favorite of the accessories. All elements are taken from my own photographs.
