This photo was taken in Maryland not far from my home in July of 2009.

The composition makes me think of vintage stationery. Flowery, womanly, old stationery that is pulled out only for the most important correspondence. It also makes me think of waiting to hear from someone very special while having afternoon tea.

This photo is an emotional piece for me, though it wasn't when it was originally taken. It happened as I was editing it and preparing it for sale. It reminds me of my grandmother. I'm not sure why. (She was a roses kind of lady.)
