"Niece" is a ribbon necklace. These necklaces generally will combine a bold focal piece with sewn-on embellishments for a look that is cute, elegant, both, or somewhere in between. It all depends on the colors and materials I use. This particular necklace carries what I call a rustic sweetness.


This particular necklace is adorned with buttons and glass beads.



"Niece" is approximately 27" (68.6cm) long, including the length of the pendant. The ribbon is 1" (2.5cm) wide.

The colors in the pendant inspired this piece. The name is inspired by my aunt. She had something in her house when I was a kid--I don't remember what--that had browns and lavenders in it. It might have been clothing, or upholstery or who knows what?
