Product Description
This is a silverplate chafing dish or covered casserole with stand made by The Sheffield Silver Co, USA.


The dish featured openwork handles, and the distinctive Sheffield pineapple adorns the lid. The feet of the stand resemble lion's feet or those of a similar animal. The set comes with the original Pyrex bowl, intact. The Pyrex insert is a 1.5 quart bowl marked "D-LL" on the bottom. The bowl simply sits on top of the stand. It is not fastened in place. This piece is very versatile and so pretty!


The set stands approximately 13" (33cm) tall when put together. The bowl is approximately 6" (15.2cm) tall with the lid. The stand, by itself is approximately 6.5" (16.5cm) tall. The bowl is 12" (30.5cm) wide, from the tip of one handle to the other.
