This doll is meant to look like a Colonial-era (US) woman. She plays "Edelweiss" and still works. According to her label, she was made in Switzerland. The numbers, "1243" appear on the label as well. The name on the label is "A. Gueissaz SA" and shows an address. I estimate the year of manufacture to be somewhere around 1976-78, because I remember receiving her as a gift when I was a little girl.

The doll stands approximately 8.25" (21cm) tall, and her base is approximately 3" (7.6cm) in diameter. She has some holes in her clothing from age, but otherwise is in good shape.
