Black and white butterfly pendant with red coral beads is perched on a daisy against a dark gray background is hand painted on a wood pendant that measures 1.25 inches/30 mm across. The back of the pendant features a tiny replica of the butterfly and daisy.

When I painted the butterfly I set the scene at twilight. The sun has gone down and it's that time of day when everything is in shades of gray. Having just realized that it is growing dark, the twilight visitor is about to fly off to find a place to spend the night.

The necklace consists of wood beads which have been hand painted in shades of black, gray and white and are paired with red coral and black bone beads.

The necklace measures 19 inches/474 mm and the toggle clasp is pewter.
