About 10 years ago my best friend and I were volunteer crew members on a hot air balloon team. We enjoyed many great times traveling around the country and occasionally the world working on the crews.

I took this photo while in Albuquerque, New Mexico in October 1997. I was in the basket of a hot air balloon with the pilot and saw this great view above us.

Another balloon was at a higher altitude and it was such a clear day that at that time of the year you could still see the moon. Since I take my camera everywhere I quickly got this shot on my first try.

Other than cropping and sharpening this photo has not been digitally altered in any way. That is actually the moon next the a balloon. I did not add either element.

That has always been one of my favorites and was displayed for many years until I moved.

Each print is packaged in a tube mailer which I've found to be the most reliable way to mail a print to prevent creasing. Once it's framed it will flatten without difficulty.
