The phoenix has a stylized Chinese character on it which my research from a friend who speaks and reads Mandarin says it reads "Fire" which is appropriate for a phoenix.

This necklace will make you stand out! A 2 inch long (5.1cm) bright silver tone phoenix bird charm with a red orange crystal eye and an Asian character is the center piece for this unusual necklace.

Large fire opal (reddish orange)and brown Swarovski crystals alternate with large white discs of white natural coral (approx 1 inch in diameter-2.5 cm) which have natural inclusions on their surfaces.

This bold necklace hangs 16 inches (40.6 cm) with a silver tone clasp but I can add links to the back for length upon request for no additional cost.
