Teal Navy Scarf Silk, Blue Lagoon Hand Dyed Unique Abstract Tie Dye.

This scarf has beautiful deep Pacific Ocean colors, it also has some subtle peapod and emerald green and different tones of blues. I call this technique "freeform Tie Dye" Shibori. The scarf is created with habotai silk 8mm. It is cleanly machine hemmed with a simple straight stitch. It is 14.5" X 45".

I tried to get a feeling of waves forming a few yards from the sandy beach.

It is soft to the touch and hand washable in cold water (iron when still slightly damp - scarf is shipped with washing and ironing instructions.

HABOTAI silk is also called China Silk. Silk was originally discovered in China. Proof of the earliest use of silk in China date to about 2600 BC. It took many centuries before silk weaving became a flourishing industry in Europe.
