Product Description
This beaded necklace is done with pearlized turquoise seed beads and silver glass cube beads. The closure to the necklace is a hand beaded ball and loop. The inner dimension of the necklace is 18 inches. The "drop" measurement is 20 inches. The beaded chain is 5/16's" wide. The necklace has 40 4mm silver glass cubes.

I named this necklace "Picasso" because Picasso was one of the creators of the "Cubism" art movement popular in Paris. This necklace features silver glass cubes.

The Cubist painters rejected the concept that art should copy nature, or that they should adopt the traditional techniques of perspective, modeling, and foreshortening. They wanted instead to emphasize the two-dimensionality of the canvas. So they reduced and fractured objects into geometric forms, and then realigned these within a shallow, relief-like space.

This is a beautiful piece combining beadwork stitches in a style that is contemporary with techniques that are ancient.
