What an absolutely fabulous way to accessorize with an original work of art. I made this glass tile pendant using an photograph that I took of a visiting Gulf Fritillary butterfly that visited our lantana this spring. I resized and maintained the high resolution for a clear shot. The photograph was adhered to the back of the glass tile using a clear dimensional adhesive. Then three coats were brushed on top to seal the deal.

Please note: this pendant is water resistant not waterproof. So take care to not jump in the pool with this necklace on.

I love taking photographs, especially during the summer months when various butterflies come to visit our lantana garden. This particular butterfly must have just burst from his coccoon because the wings were in pristine condition. I was lucky enough to have my camera handy.
