A towering lighthouse is backed by a dark ocean and gorgeous sunset sky in this polymer clay micromosaic ACEO.

This piece was made by carefully placing tiny bits of raw polymer clay on a sheet of solid raw polymer clay. Over 40 handmixed colors were used. Every color has a bit of pearl or metallic mixed in to give the entire piece a gorgeous sheen. Each tile is about 1x2mm or smaller and there are approximately 7,000 of them in a 2½ x 3½ inch space.

Entirely made of polymer clay and measuring 2½ x 3½ inches, this ACEO is ready for framing or hanging as is.

I made this ACEO as part of a special challenge for the Eastern Idaho State Fair in which they give you a simple pencil drawing and you are asked to render that picture in any medium you choose. This is the result and I won first place!
