Each wine stopper consists of a hand sculpted glass top filled with a variety of colorful shapes and designs securely attached to a food grade stainless steel base. These wine stoppers are fully functional pieces of art: each glass portion is fully handmade by Canadian glassblower Kelly Lowe, beginning life as liquid glass pulled from the furnace in her Hamilton based hotshop. As Kelly sculpts the pieces entirely by hand, with only a thin protective material between her and the molten glass, no two wine stoppers will be exactly alike - making them a beautiful and unique addition to your table, your wine collection, as a special gift for the wine lover in your life, or as a colorful addition to celebrations such New Year's Eve, birthdays or anniversaries.

Each piece is discretely signed near the top of the base using a dremel: a diamond tipped engraving tool.

I would just like to make a quick note that I have heard from some customers that they love their wine stopper so much they don't use it for fear of it breaking. Please, use them! They're incredibly durable, and will stand up to regular use for years and years to come.

*Please note: as each piece begins its life as molten glass and is blown/sculpted by hand into the final product, individual pieces might have slight variations in size and/or appearance. Please rest assured however that the standard of quality is quite high, and no substandard pieces will be sold.
