This skirt/shawl reflects the gorgeousness of Santa Fe at sunset. The main part is crocheted in an intricate arching stitch to imitate the setting sun. The yarns are a mixture of a light orange-rust and a fine yarn of raspberry cream color. These yarns are a wonderful combination of several fine threads in silk and rayon used together.

I then crocheted scallops all around and ran a crocheted tie through using a silky fuchsia cotton yarn. The tie makes this garment suitable for a wide range of sizes from petite through medium. The actual measurements are:

40 inches wide by 16 inches long.

This garment looks great as an over-skirt and could be worn over tights, leggings, a dress, pants, or a bathing suit.

It can also be worn tied at the neck in the front like a cape, tied at the shoulder like a shawl, tied at the lower shoulder like a shrug, or you could remove the tie and simply drape it as desired and secure with a pretty pin.

Perfect for year round wear. Be prepared for a lot of attention and compliments when you wear this. It's not for shrinking violets :-)
