This distinctive shawl has many uses due to its shape and size. It's a scarf for your neck that can be unwrapped and reach your shins, and it can be wrapped once or twice, or it can be tied. It can be also used as a head scarf, lightly covering hair from wind, rain or snow; or it can be a body, waist or neck sash, adorning a plain outfit easily and with fun. It's extremely useful as a shawl or wrap, is equally as useful and suitable at every season of the year, AND it always looks very pretty!

Its shape is an elongated ellipse, i.e., pointed ends finished with tassels, and gradually widening to the center where it measures approximately 14 inches (unstretched). It's 72 inches long (also unstretched) not including the tassels which are approximately 5 inches long.

The yarn used is interesting, pretty and fun (Moda Dea's Tutu). It's a mixture of nylon, cotton, acrylic and rayon; and care instructions are to hand wash (cold) and dry flat. The color is called Geranium, and that aptly describes it ... a very reddish orange (or vice versa). The "wrapped" portions of the yarn have a lovely sheen while the tags are matte, soft and translucent. It's a very pretty mix overall, which I hope you can see in the close-up photo. It's got excellent drape without being heavy and is soft and cuddly.

Something about this fiber and fabric is just plain fun, and it makes me smile.
