This is a gorgeous hand-dyed roving/top from a very soft, silky Falkland (corriedale) wool. This stuff is SO soft and fluffy!! It has a lovely sheen, drafts beautifully, and is a joy to spin. Perfect for next-to-skin creations, and sure to spin up beautifully. I have found that I am able to spin a very fine yarn with Corriedale...the finest Ive ever spun. Just perfect for spinning lace and sock weight yarns, and anything else!

I use professional acid dyes designed for protein fibers. These colors will last and last, and will be perfect for your next small project. I am a "scientific dyer", and I mix my colors entirely from the three primaries: red, blue and yellow, plus black. All of my colors are created by percentages, and yet all color combinations are a surprise!

I love rich, subtle colorways that are unexpected in individual color choices, but that blend with the eye into soft "orderly chaos"! This pieced reminded me of an antique tapestry, with subtle tones of mahogany, old gold, steel, and earthy browns. Absolutely delightful!
