This is a gorgeous hand-dyed roving/top from a very soft, silky Falkland (corriedale) wool. This stuff is SO soft and fluffy!! It has a lovely sheen, drafts beautifully, and is a joy to spin. Perfect for next-to-skin creations, and sure to spin up beautifully. I have found that I am able to spin a very fine yarn with Corriedale...the finest Ive ever spun. Just perfect for spinning lace and sock weight yarns, and anything else!

I use professional acid dyes designed for protein fibers. These colors will last and last, and will be perfect for your next small project. I am a "scientific dyer", and I mix my colors entirely from the three primaries: red, blue and yellow, plus black. All of my colors are created by percentages, and yet all color combinations are a surprise!
Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
I can't think of a single person who doesn't like purple. I know I love it enough for ten people! Perhaps not just purple, but that whole side of the color wheel...purple into blues, into reds. This piece fairly shouts the beauties of berries and purples and orchids! Three different shades are here...dark berry, deep lilac, and orchid. How can you resist?
