These earrings each have a single smooth reddish orange carnelian gemstone that I have wrapped in a herringbone weave in sterling silver wire. There is a single orange agate faceted pear briolette dangling at the bottom of each earring. The agate is a medium orange color, whereas the carnelian is a darker reddish orange.

All of the metal in these earrings is sterling silver, including the hand-formed ear wires. I oxidized and polished the sterling silver to give it an antiqued appearance.

These earrings measure about 2 3/8 inches (6.2cm) in length from the tops of their sterling silver ear wires.

Carnelian and agate are types of chalcedony (quartz). Carnelian is one of July's birthstones.
