I made this pendant by wrapping this oval-shaped African jade stone in 12/20 (12kt) goldfill wire. African jade is not a true jade. (The two true jades are nephrite and jadeite.) Based on my experience in geology and gemstones, I believe this African jade to be a green jasper. The stone measures 18mm by 25mm. The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches (3.7cm) in overall length.
