These pretty little earrings are medium green "African jade"* stones wrapped in sterling silver wire using a herringbone weave. They dangle from handformed sterling silver ear wires. I oxidized and polished the sterling silver to give it an antiqued patina. They measure 1 1/2 inches (4cm) in length from the tops of the ear wires.

*Please note that African jade is not a true jade. (The two true jades are nephrite and jadeite.) Based on my experience in geology and gemstones, I believe this African jade to be a green jasper.

I now offer niobium or titanium ear wires at no additional charge for my metal-sensitive customers. The titanium wires are a dark silver color, and the niobium ones are a copper color. Just let me know when you check out if you are interested in these options.
