I can not say enough about these wonderful pearls! They are freshwater pearls and are 99% nacre which means the actual pearl goes all the way through; not just a thin layer of nacre as some pearls are. A tiny piece of mussel tissue is inserted into a host mussel shell and the nacre builds up over time, usually several years! A pearls' value is determined by the size, luster and number of imperfections. These pearls measure about 9mm and are almost perfectly uniform. All freshwater cultured pearls have imperfections which is a good way to determine if it is genuine. The luster (of these pearls) is excellent and are strung on "Stringth" cord and professionally hand knotted between each bead. In this listing you have a choice of three clasps: sterling silver, sterling silver with amethyst or sterling silver with carnelian. This necklace measures 18".

Pearls are just inspirational, period! They need nothing more than to be displayed.
